I bought an Alltel Wireless PrePaid phone in Tallahassee, Florida, before the Alltel Wireless/Verizon Wireless merger. I currently live in Bainbridge, Georgia, and the same Alltel Wireless phone I bought in Tallahassee now has Verizon Wireless service, but still has a Tallahassee number.. Is there a way to change my "Vertel" phone number to a full Verizon number, preferably local? If so, what number would I have to call to arrange it?
